CONFIDENT YOUTH, BUILD STRONG COMMUNITIES
The YMCA Achievers program is an academic achievement/career development initiative purposed to help youth set and pursue higher education and career goals, resulting in graduation and acceptance to an institution of higher learning.
At the YMCA of Metropolitan Columbus, GA, Y ACHIEVERS expands on this goal by providing developmentally based, extracurricular team mentorship and workshop activities, designed to give youth ages 12-16 the tools they need to succeed in college and beyond.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

Provide role models whose success and knowledge will inspire youth to set and reach their goals.

Help youth develop individual talents, a positive sense of self, and leadership ability.

Motivate participants to raise academic performance, succeed in school, and gain marketable skills.
