SWIM LESSON POLICIES & PROCEDURES

REGISTRATION & PARTICIPANTS

When a class has fewer than three registered participants, the class will be consolidated. Lessons will take place during the first half of the original schedule.

To allow for instructor rescheduling, registration for a class ends two days before class begins. Approval from the program coordinator is required for late registration.

MAKEUP LESSONS

Makeup lessons will be scheduled if a lesson is canceled due to inclement weather, pool closing, or other unforeseen circumstances. The YMCA will make every effort to contact you as soon as possible if a lesson is canceled.

Please verify your contact information is up-to-date at the Front Desk.

Your swim instructor will give you the exact date and time of the makeup lesson. We are not able to offer makeup lessons for individual absences.

PHOTOGRAPHY AND MEDIA

The YMCA may photograph both you and your child, and the YMCA may use those photographs for its marketing purposes. If you would prefer to not be included, please inform the program coordinator. Please make every effort to exclude other members and guests when taking personal photographs or videos.

LESSON LEVELS & OTHER QUESTIONS

Participants may be moved to different levels based upon their swimming performance before the conclusion of a class session. Scheduling and class questions or concerns should be directed to the program coordinator. Class cancellations, transfers, and refunds are at the discretion of the program coordinator and must be requested via email or phone.

ACCOMPANYING YOUR CHILD

Participants under age 12 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and must provide a current membership card or valid photo ID on each visit.
