The Y goes PINK for Breast Cancer Awareness

According to BreastCancer.org, "1 in 8 U.S. women will develop invasive breast cancer in her lifetime." It is estimated that, "about 42,170 women in the U.S. are expected to die in 2020 from breast cancer."

Here are the Y, we believe in the power of education, healthy living, and community support. From our long-standing partnership with the West Center Georgia Cancer Coalition (WCGCC) to our 'Cancer Exercise Specialist' program, we hope that our efforts within our association will make an impact outside in our community.

This October, you can join us every Wednesday & help us paint the Chattahoochee Valley PINK in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month! The YMCA staff will be wearing pink in support of those who have passed, those who are survivors, those who are fighting & those that will.

Awareness leads to support and support leads to change.

For resources for yourself or someone you know, we highly encourage you to visit the WCGCC website.
