WE'VE GOT SPIRIT
Our Cheerleading program offers girls ages 4-13 the chance to learn the importance of teamwork while learning new skills & cheering on our YMCA Youth Sports teams. Cheerleading helps build strong self-esteem and self-confidence while developing social skills and healthy relationships with other girls.

Our Cheerleading program will meet at both the A.J. McClung and D.A. Turner YMCAs. Practices are held on weekday evenings and games are held on Fridays and Saturdays.

REGISTRATION
Registration for our Winter 2023 season opens on Friday, October 1st. You may register online or via our Front Desk at any three of our branches. LATE REGISTRATION WILL BE $100

Our winter season runs from January - February 2024.
COACHES
YMCA recreational Cheerleading squads are led by volunteer coaches. All volunteer coaches undergo a background check and training. Opportunities are available for coaches and assistant coaches at all locations.
